DINASAURUS

The dinosaurs were extremely varied and dominated the terrestrialecosystem for 160 million years. Were mainly characterized by being oviparous and hard skin and flaky (although it has been discovered that many had feathers). Many had additional physical defenses thatwere developed with the passage of the Mesozoic era, such as horns, claws, horn peaks, armor, etc. Size variation is typical of the group. Some general were bipeds, others quadrupeds and some, like Ammosaurus and Iguanodon, could take both types of locomotion. It is assumed that the populations of herbivores, carnivores, omnivoresand insectivores were the proportions of the existing fauna.

Dinosaurs are divided into two orders, Saurischia and Ornithischia, which are based on the structure of the hip. The saurischians (Greekfor lizard Pelvis) are dinosaurs that initially retained the hip structure of their ancestors. They include all the theropods (bipedal carnivores) and sauropods (long-necked herbivores). The Ornithischia are the other order of dinosaurs, most of these were quadrupedal herbivores.
